MARLBOROUGH FINE ART

Renovation of an art gallery and offices within a Georgian townhouse.

Not listed. Within the Mayfair Conservation Area.

Completed.

Renovation of a modern art gallery in Mayfair, included extending gallery space to the first floor, and providing appropriate art work storage in the lower ground floor and private viewing rooms. A new stair linked the 1950s extension to the rear to the historic property, and the extensive modern office space is now accessible throughout the rest of the building.

The works included an extensive bespoke joinery and lighting for the gallery and office spaces. The facade was restored to a decorative state similar to its pre WW2 bomb damage condition using historically appropriate materials and techniques.

Alice was project architect with employed at Long and Kentish Architects.
